My Passion

Growing up with ADHD, I understand how overwhelming new environments can feel, especially for children. I know what it is like to feel misunderstood or anxious in unfamiliar situations.

For many children, swim lessons can be intimidating, especially if they have had difficult experiences around water in the past. Fear and anxiety are often mistaken for disobedience, when sometimes all a child truly needs is a patient, understanding adult who is committed to helping them feel safe and successful.

That is where I come in.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi! My name is Celerity. I have worked as a swim instructor and lifeguard for four years, with over five years of experience working with children. I completed the Education Pathway program at Woodcreek High School with straight A's and received the CTE Achievement Award on April 28, 2026, for outstanding achievements in education.

Qualifications and Experience

• Certified lifeguard
• CPR certified
• Certified in administering oxygen
• Three years of babysitting experience
• Former Woodcreek Swim Team swimmer
• Semi-fluent in American Sign Language with six years of practice

I am deeply passionate about working with children, especially those who may experience behavioral or emotional challenges. I plan to attend American River College to continue studying child development and behavior, with the goal of becoming a behavior therapist for children.

I believe in meeting every child at their comfort level while encouraging confidence and independence. I do not believe there is such a thing as a "reckless child." Every child deserves patience, understanding, and support.
